Tony Maggs

Tony Maggs was a South African racing driver born on 9 February 1937. He competed in Formula 1 from 1961 to 1965, covering the 1961, 1962, 1963, 1964 and 1965 seasons.

Across that five-year span, Maggs entered 27 Formula 1 races. He did not score a win or a pole position, recorded three podiums, and his best finish was second.

During his Formula 1 career, Maggs raced for BRM, Cooper-Climax, Lotus-BRM and Lotus-Climax.
